Malala Yousufzai's first message after her second surgery and regaining her speech is most admirable. Her message is brave and inspiring for all of us and makes us proud as a nation.

The little angle with her bravery and courage of conviction has convinced the world that we Pakistanis do not produce only terrorists, religious fanatics, sectarian and target killers.

We can also produce outstandingly courageous persons like Malala who was and still is willing to sacrifice her life for a noble cause, the right to education for everyone who wants to be educated; even small girls living among fanatics and bigots who do not believe that women have a right to education.

Malala in her message said that she is grateful to all her well wishers whose prayers have made her recovery possible. She also said she will again sacrifice herself if she has to do it. This is an impressive and commendable resolve.

She has now been recommended for a Nobel Peace Prize by the governments of Norway, Canada and Australia. She stands a good chance to get a Nobel Peace Prize. If that happens it will be a matter of great pride for a nation which is only known to the world for terrorism, bigotry, corruption and bad governance.
