LAHORE: Cash, gold taken away

LAHORE, Jan 18: Robbers made off with cash, jewellery and vehicles worth hundredsof thousands of rupees infour strikes in the city on Saturday.

Four armed men barged into the house of Dr Mohsin Zaidi in Islamia Park, Poonch Road, and held up the family at gunpoint. They collected cash, jewellery and valuables worth Rs400,000 and escaped.

Two armed men burst into a jeweller’s shop in Gulshan-i-Ravi and made off with jewellery worth Rs300,000.

A car (8115) with Karachi registration number and a motorcycle (LXH-5931) were stolen from the Defence and Shadbagh areas, respectively.

Police have registered cases with no arrests.
