KARACHI: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice (Retd) Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim has said that the political parties have their own agendas and priorities however, the voter lists verification process is in progress without any hurdle in Karachi.

He was speaking to media representatives after inspecting the ongoing process of voters verification in various areas of the metropolis on Thursday.

Ibrahim said the verification of voters is a difficult task and hoped that the ongoing process would be completed within scheduled time. It may be extended if required, he added.

The CEC said that the people are aware about importance of their votes and they are cooperating with the field staff of the election commission.
