LARKANA, Jan 27: Police arrested a man on Sunday on the charges of kidnapping and beheading a six-year-old boy.

Father of the boy Shahnawaz Bughio had registered an FIR nominating two brothers, Ghulam Mustafa Bughio and Darya Khan Bughio, in the kidnapping and mysterious killing of his minor son Shakeel Ahmed Bughio.

Police have arrested Ghulam Mustafa while his brother is still at large.

According to sources, Shahnawaz was the state manager of MNA Nazeer Ahmed Bughio.

Larkana SSP Jawed Soonharo Jiskani told Dawn that the boy had gone missing on Jan 5 from a marriage party in the village. On Saturday (Jan 26), some villagers informed police about a human head lying in a pond near the village of Jaffar Shah, some 30km off here, within the remit of Hassan Wahan police station. It was identified as the head of Shakeel.
