SYDNEY, Jan 26: All-rounder Moises Henriques has been ruled out of Australia’s first One-day International against the West Indies next month because of a finger injury.
Henriques underwent a minor surgical procedure on Saturday to alleviate swelling caused by infection in the finger. He will be sidelined for at least a week, definitely ruling him out of the first match at Perth on Feb 1 and leaving him in doubt for the second two days later.
Henriques suffered the injury in an accident during practice for the fourth One-day International against Sri Lanka in Brisbane. He then aggravated the injury playing for New South Wales against Western Australia on Friday.—AP
