ISLAMABAD, Jan 26: Police have arrested a property dealer from Blue Area for his alleged involvement in kidnapping his rival, police said on Saturday.

The sources said the victim was kidnapped from G-11 Markaz on January 4 by two property dealers and they allegedly had the support of four officials of Rawat police.

The victim was taken to Rawat police station where they forcibly took Rs1.1 million in cash and Rs1 million in shape of cheque and then set him free.

The victim later approached the police and lodged a complaint against the accused which led to the registration of the case and the arrest of one of them.

The victim, Mohammad Aslam, told Dawn that he had a dispute over a plot with one of his rivals.— Staff Reporter
