ATTOCK, Jan 23: The Attock police have launched a computerised “Feedback system” to monitor day-to-day public complaints and their redressal.
The district police said a separate office had been set up at the police headquarters with the installation of computers and other equipments and appointment of technical staff. The office will be maintaining all record on a day-to-day basis.
The police said that after the introduction of the mobile complaint collection (MCC) system, it was another step to monitor the working of all the police stations on modern lines aimed at resolving the public complaints and other matters.
Malik Ayub, an official of the district police headquarters, who is supervising the computerised feedback system, said under the new initiative the SHOs of all the 14 police stations in the district had been bound to inform the “police feedback office” about all the public complaints or other related applications submitted to the police on a daily basis.
Soon after receiving the report from the police stations, the data entry operators would feed the details of the complaints or applications into the system.
The system would send text messages to the applicants on their given phone numbers along with their application details.
The applicants would also receive alert message time to time as progress on the complaints is made.
On the other hand, the applicants can also give their feedback through the text messaging.
In reply to a question, the official said the SHOs were responsible to send the reports on a daily basis otherwise action would be taken against them.
