BRISBANE, Jan 16: Australia have brought Ben Cutting back into their one-day squad as fast bowling cover for Friday’s match against Sri Lanka.

Cutting, 25, made his One-day International debut in Sunday’s heavy defeat in Adelaide but was dropped as pacemen Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc returned from minor injuries.

“Ben is here in Brisbane as a precaution due to Johnson and Starc coming back from injury,” said national selector John Inverarity.

“If both pace bowlers prove their fitness to play as expected, Ben will re-join the Brisbane Heat on Friday afternoon for the Big Bash League Final.”
