LAHORE, Jan 15: Pakistan Trade Centre established at Singapore has immense potential to increase Pakistani exports to this South East Asian country, said Dr Toh See Kiat, the leader of the visiting Trade Mission from Singapore.

Speaking at seminar on ‘Promoting trade and business between Singapore and Pakistan’ at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) here, he hoped that Pakistan-Singapore trade with a decades long history, could be further strengthened with efforts in the right direction.

He said that Pakistan’s companies were ranked among top 26 suppliers to Singapore in the year 2001 and added that the country was rated as one of the top 10 countries of 23 countries.

President, LCCI, M. Yawar Irfan Khan expressed concern over a huge trade gap between Pakistan and Singapore and urged upon the Singapore government to review visa policy for Pakistani businessmen.—APP
