LAHORE, Jan 7: An all parties’ conference at the Governor’s House on Monday vowed not to allow “undemocratic elements” to sabotage the elections.

The leaders of 18 parties, except the PML-N, attended the meeting called by Governor Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood.

The governor said he appreciated the leaders for attending the meeting for the stability of democratic process, solidarity of the country as well as prosperity of the people of the Pakistan.

He said: “We will have to make joint effort to foil the nefarious designs of the elements that are trying to destabilize the democratic process and are hatching conspiracy against the coming general election.”

He said the armed forces, judiciary, democratic institutions, political parties, media and the people of the country were fully agreed to hold the general election without any delay and interruption.

The PML-N on Sunday had also boycotted the governor’s dinner.
