LAHORE, Jan 6: The PML-Q leadership has been suggested to offer the National Assembly seat from Lahore constituency NA-124 to the PPP and seek a provincial assembly seat under it (PP-145) for the Q League.

The suggestion was floated in a meeting of local PML-Q leaders from the area with Deputy Prime Minister Pervaiz Elahi in the chair here on Sunday.

A delegation, headed by former MPA Haji Imdad Husain, called on the senior leader here and proposed that Bushra Aitzaz Ahsan, the wife of PPP Senator Aitzaz Ahsan, and Mr Hussain should be supported for NA-124 and PP-145 constituencies respectively as joint candidates of the ruling coalition.

They held out the assurance that the voters would ensure success of both the candidates with overwhelming majority.
