Who says our artists are not conscientious people? They may be small in number (and might not care about Turkish soaps taking their space) they do care about our society.

Take singer Jawad Ahmed for example. He has come out with a new song, Mein Bhi Insaan Hoon dedicated to those who lost their precious lives on Sept 11, 2012, during the worst industrial tragedy in the history of Pakistan. The reference is to the victims of the Baldia Town fire, the infernal incident that took more than 250 innocent lives. The song also intends to galvanise the working class people into developing a movement for better employment opportunities and conditions.

Well done Jawad A! We hope that others will follow suit.
