Shoaib Malik to lead Pakistan ‘A’

LAHORE, Jan 13: All-rounder Shoaib Malik has been appointed as captain of the Pakistan “A” team for a 12-day tour of Dubai starting from Tuesday. Fast bowler Junaid Zia has been  appointed vice- captain.

Team: Salman Butt (NBP), Shadab Kabir (Customs), Imran Farhat (HBL), Naved Latif (ABL), Farhan Adil (HBL), Saeed bin Nasir (KRL), Rana Naveedul  Hasan (Wapda), Yasir Arafat (KRL), Shoaib Malik  (PIA), Umar  Gul (PIA), Abdul Rauf (Customs), Najaf Shah  (PIA),  Junaid Zia  (Rawalpindi), Danish Kaneria (HBL), and  Atiq-uz-Zamn  (HBL) wicketkeeper.

Manager: Sultan Rana.

Coach: Aqib Javed.

Physio: Dr Sohail Salim.

Batting consultant: Zaheer Abbas.

Itinerary: Jan 14-arrival in Dubai. Jan 16-17: Two-day game. Jan 19-20: Two-day game. Jan 21: First one-day game. Jan 23- Second one-day game. Jan 24- Third one-day game. Jan 25- Departure to Lahore.
