WITH its beautiful interiors, Faisal Mosque is a place to offer prayers and worship. Visiting is permitted to all without any discrimination. Only modest dressing is required to visit the mosque for both men and women. It is necessary to remove shoes at the entrance as a sign of respect for the mosque and cleanliness.
It is a landmark of Islamabad and central point for tourists because of its marvellous beauty, splendid lawn and fabulous view of Margala Hills around.
The sky and royal blue calligraphy inside the mosque is eye - catching and purify the souls of many. The mosque looks like a fairy standing in a green land. Unfortunately, it also serves as dating point.
This is really unethical and unprincipled that many young girls and boys come there just for chit - chat and to have fun. Their free movement in the mosque diverts the attention of people who come to offer prayers. This should be prohibited. It is not the duty of security guards. Are not the authorities concerned liable to tell them that they are not supposed to go to places of worship for having fun?
It is their moral obligation and responsibility to respect mosques and use it only for religious purposes.
