QUETTA, Dec 28: Three people, among them a policeman, were gunned down and another was injured in Panjgur town on Friday, police sources said.

Unidentified men on motorcycles opened indiscriminate fire at a greengrocer’s in Garmkan area on the outskirts of Panjgur, killing the three and injuring another.

The dead were identified as Constable Abdul Qadir, vegetable seller Gul Mohammad and Mohammad Abbas.

The bodies and the injured were taken to civil hospital.

The cause of the attack remains unclear but a case was registered against the unknown killers and police started investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, the driver of a container carrying supplies for Nato forces in Afghanistan was seriously injured when armed men attacked him at Quetta-Chaman national highway on Friday morning.

The injured was shifted to hospital.
