Upright officials

Published December 27, 2012

WE talk untiringly about the rising corruption in our country. However, I recently came across a senior official of the Cantonment Board, Clifton (CBC), whose upright character and strong initiative kindled a ray of hope.

The lower level staff of CBC tampered with my water supply connection with mala fide intentions. All my efforts to get the water supply connection restored to its original position went a-begging.

I called on the additional cantonment executive officer. The gentleman heard my complaint and instantly telephoned the area in-charge for his version of the case. Within a few minutes he comprehended the entire situation and ordered the area in-charge to investigate the matter and report to him personally.

I request all my countrymen to acknowledge the services of such honest and upright officials .
