LAHORE, Dec 23: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) will organise a ceremony for its Christian employees on Monday (today) at Attique Stadium near Badshahi Mosque.

A 60-pound cake would be cut while ration bags and education coupons distributed among the workers, said a spokesperson on Sunday.

LWMC Chairman Khwaja Ahmad Hassan will be the chief guest while Bishop of Lahore Father Irfan Jamil will lead the prayers. The ceremony will be attended, among others, by Father Shahid Miraj, Rev Arshad Gill, Turkish contractors and officials of Zong, Addiflex and the Punjab Education Foundation.

Students of the Forman Christian College will be part of the choir, while children from Youhanabad will sing carols besides presenting a tableau and other religious songs.

Taimoor Rahman from Lal the Band is also scheduled to perform at the event.
