Honour killing

SUKKUR, Dec 18: A married woman was killed allegedly by her brother-in-law in Rustam Korai village within the remit of the Baiji police station of Pano Akil district on Tuesday.

Police said that Attur Korai shot dead Maqsoodan, wife of Nabi Bux Korai, after accusing her of maintaining illicit relations with someone. The police took the body to the Taluka Hospital Pano Akil for a post-mortem examination before handing it over to the heirs. A case was registered against the alleged killer on the complaint of his brother, Nabi Bux Korai.

The suspect was later arrested and kept in the police lock-up.—BoC
