KARACHI, Dec 17: Eight ships carrying caustic soda, oil, chemical, containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Tuesday, shipping sources said.

On Monday, four ships including Lodestar Genesis, Rabigh Sunshine, Densa Jaguar and Pacific Wind were berthed at the port while Capriole, YM North, Golden Gion, Cape Flores, Zante, Georgia M and Torm Louis sailed out.

The following ships are expected to arrive on Tuesday: Angel No.1 with caustic soda, Quetta with oil, Bhairavi with chemical, STX Patraikos, Hyundai Highness, Kota Gemar and Puma with containers and Aalborg with cargo.

Port Qasim

KARACHI: One container ship was allotted berth, while three ships with different commodities also arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release.

Maersk Missouri, Sai Eternity, Chemroad Lilly and Lahore were busy in loading and offloading containers, wheat and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 57,153 tons comprising 47,947 tons of import and 9,206tons of export was handled.
