NPC election today

ISLAMABAD, Dec 16: Election of National Press Club (NPC), for the year 2013 would be held on Monday (Today).

According to the election committee headed by Nasir Zaidi, polling would start at 10am and end at 7pm.

Farooq Faisal Khan and Matiullah Jan would contest for the presidential slot. For the seat of secretary Shaheryar Khan and Arshad Mehmood Malik and for the seat of treasurer, Afzal Javed and Asadullah Malik.

There would be seven candidates contesting for the three seats of vice president: Abdul Qayyum Siddiqui, Abdul Razaq Siyal, Aasim Ali Rana, Ghulamullah Kiyani, Imran Alam Chaudhry, Shahzad Farooqi and Syed Ejaz Ahmed Shah.

Attaullah Rajar, Farrukh Nawaz Bhatti, Nasir Mehmood, Rao Rizwan Arshad, Saghir Ahmed, Sajjad Ali Qureshi and Zulfiqar Ali Khan would contest for the three seats of joint secretary.

There would be 30 candidates for 15 seats of the governing body.
