ATTOCK, Dec 9: A judicial magistrate here sent a man arrested for alleged car theft on a three-day physical remand.

The police arrested Mohammad Rasool, a resident of Hangu in Khyber Paktunkhwa, after a brief encounter near the anti-car lifting cell office on G.T. Road a couple of days back. The police claimed to have recovered two stolen cars from his possession.

However, his three accomplices escaped. The police said the gang was involved in lifting of vehicles from various parts of the country and sold them in KP.—Correspondent
