Friends and colleagues gathered to encourage and congratulate noted actor Shakeel on Nov 30 during a play titled Us Gali Na Jaween, in which he gave a solo performance. Shakeel received a standing ovation as soon as he finished his act after which a show reel was screened highlighting his career achievements.
Showbiz glitterati Anwar Maqsood, Sania Saeed, Rahat Kazmi, Haseena Moin and Sajid Hasan were there to support him, not to mention novelists Mohammed Hanif and H. M. Naqvi.
Shakeel managed to engage the audience through his performance for 40 minutes or so and it was nice to see so many people turn up to laud his services over the years.
