Pakistan, America symposium today

ISLAMABAD, Jan 9: President Gen Pervez Musharraf will inaugurate the Pakistan-US strategic symposium at the National Defence College (NDC) in the federal capital on Friday.

The two-day symposium, being held after a lapse of five years, had been organized by the NDC in collaboration with the Washington-based National Defence University (NDU).

Four key topics “Changing interests of major powers in South Asia, Afghanistan and Central Asia”, “ Reality of nuclear South Asia”, “Resolution of Kashmir issue” and “the future of Pakistan-US relations in the next decade” would be discussed at the symposium.

NDU chief Robin L. Raphel would lead the US delegation.
