LAHORE, Nov 18: A fire broke out in the PIA’s District Sales Office on Egerton Road on Sunday.

According to a spokesperson, no human loss or injury was reported because of the weekly holiday.

According to a PIA’s release, the blaze erupted at the second floor of a multi-storey building around 5:30pm which engulfed the whole section.

Two on-duty officials alerted the Rescue 1122 and City Fire-Brigade.

Firefighters under the supervision of PIA’s District Manager Muhammad Umer Draz brought the blaze under control after an hour effort. The PIA’s fire team also took part in the operation.

The release said the management had yet to ascertain the scale of damage and the cause of fire.
