Relations with the US

Published November 15, 2012

DURING the American presidential debate, an anchor person asked a surprising question: “Is it time for the US to divorce Pakistan?” The prompt response of Republican candidate Romney was “No!”, and added that the US could not divorce a country that had 100 nuclear weapons and was on the way to doubling that at one point. President Obama nodded in his favour.

Pakistan cannot get out of the quagmire of terrorism without external help. At the moment, Pakistan cannot get a better helper than the US in this situation.
