HYDERABAD, Jan 6: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has said he will make efforts to create peaceful atmosphere which is essential for prosperity of the province.

Talking to newsmen at the shrine of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai on Monday, he said development of Sindh was also necessary for the progress of the country.

He said Prime Minister Mir Zafrullah Khan Jamali had promised a big relief package for the province.

The Sindh governor said the main problem of the province was animosities between urban and rural people and added he had started his visit of the interior of Sindh from the shrines of Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz and Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and was confident that these differences would be eliminated.

He said he would work with all factions and groups of people.

Dr Ibad referred to the problems of the province and hoped these would be resolved through collective efforts.

He said efforts would also be made to provide jobs to people.

The Sindh governor said they had extended cooperation to all the political opponents and were coordinating with all the groups.

Earlier, Dr Ibad was warmly welcomed at the Bhitshah helipad by District Nazim Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman, DCO Mir Hussain Ali, DIGP Akbar Arain, EDO, revenue, Shakeel Naqvi, and others.

The governor laid floral wreath on the shrine and offered Fateha.

He also offered Fateha at the shrine of Hazrat Shah Habib, the father of Shah Latif.

The provincial secretary for Auqaf, Zakat and Ushr presented Ajrak and traditional Sindhi cap to the governor.
