KARACHI: Incidents of violence claimed three lives in different areas of Karachi, whereas police was unable to apprehend the 35 accused released on parole despite conducting raids across the city, DawnNews reported on Monday.

One person was killed in a firing incident in Karachi’s Keamari area.

Moreover, a body was found near the Inquiry Office in the city's Nazimabad area.

Furthermore, a security guard was gunned down upon offering resistance during a robbery bid in the DHA Phase VI area of Karachi.

Acting on the Supreme Court’s earlier order on the Karachi law and order situation pertaining to the 35 under-trial prisoners released on parole, police had begun conducting raids in order to apprehend them.

The bench hearing the case at the Karachi registry of the apex court, in its short order on Saturday, ordered that the 35 under-trial prisoners released on parole be arrested immediately. It further stated that the police and other law enforcement agencies had failed to provide security to the citizens.
