Family looted

TIMERGARA, Nov 4: A family at Tora Tega in the jurisdiction of Timergara police station was deprived of Rs660,000 cash, four tola gold ornaments, a Kalashnikov, a CNIC and a driving licence.

Residents said that masked men broke into the house of Janullah during the night and held the family at gunpoint. The robbers collected cash, jewellery and other valuables and escaped. The robbers also injured head of the family on resistance. He was taken to local hospital.

An official of the Timergara police station told reporters that a man identified as Ghani had been taken into custody after sniffer dogs entered his house in the village. —Correspondent
