HYDERABAD, Nov 1: Around 40 more Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers submitted their resignations to the party chief, Nawaz Sharif, in protest against what they described as a biased decision taken by Sindh PML-N chief Ghous Ali Shah.

This was announced by Shahzad Ali Junejo, Noor Mohammad Bhalai, Jameel Ahmed, Mohammad Rafique Chandio, Dost Ali Leghari, Lutf Ali Junejo and others while addressing a press conference on Thursday.

They said that around 150 resignations have already been sent to Mian Nawaz Sharif and they too, with 40 others, were following suit after Qasimabad leader Mehboob Junejo and Hyderabad city president Raja Ghazanfar Ali who have already tendered their resignations to the party chief.

The PML-N workers also demanded that the party chief take notice of Mr Shah’s decision in which the party membership of some leaders from Hyderabad was cancelled after an unpleasant incident at the Hyderabad press club a few weeks ago.

A fist fight had broken out among the PML-N workers just before PML-N leader Raja Zafarul Haq was to arrive there for a press conference. The Sindh chief conducted an inquiry and cancelled the membership of a few workers and leaders from Hyderabad.

Shahzad Ali Junejo and other workers said that they had serious objections to the decision taken by Mr Shah and alleged that he was also misguiding Nawaz Sharif especially about the current situation of PML-N in Sindh, particularly in Hyderabad district.

They blamed the Sindh chief for setting up a separate group of the party.

After the press conference which was held at a local hotel, some PML-N workers gathered outside the Hyderabad press club and staged a protest demonstration. They chanted slogans against Mr Shah while carrying party flags and banners.
