BOTH the federal and provincial governments’ pensioners have already received an increase of 30 and 20 per cent for old and recently retired employees, respectively, as announced in the budget 2012.

In case of army pensioners, the CMA (Pension), Lahore Cantonment, sends list of all eligible pensioners to pension disbursing offices viz post offices. However, unlike the past there is an inordinate delay this year in sending the list.

The list received by the GPO, Nawabshah, does not contain all the names of eligible pensioners though three months have already passed.

On my visit to the GPO, Nawabshah, for receiving my pension in October 2012, I was told that the CMA had not forwarded my name for the increase. Several pensioners of this town are also sailing in the same boat.

Will the CMA (Pension), Lahore Cantonment, please look into the omission and help the poor pensioners get their increased pension as soon as possible.
