LAHORE, Oct 26: A fourth class student was found dead in fields with multiple head injuries in Kahna on Friday.

Initial investigations revealed that Sajid Ali, 8, was kidnapped by his neighbour Asad on Thursday. The family searched him everywhere and finally reported the matter to the police.

On Friday, a local spotted his body in the fields and alerted the police who shifted it to the city morgue.

The police said Asad raped the boy and later killed him with a blunt weapon to conceal his crime. He then threw his body in the fields.

A case was registered on the complaint of victim’s father Khurshid against Asad under sections 302 and 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The police arrested the suspect.

maid dies: A young maid who was admitted to Jinnah Hospital with multiple injuries a month ago, died on Friday.

Initial investigations suggested that Johar Town resident Naureen, 22, was working as a maid at the residence of a lawyer, Amir, and was allegedly raped.

The family alleged the lawyer raped Naureen and later injured her critically with repeated strikes of a stab. She was taken to the hospital in a critical condition where she succumbed to her wounds.

The police, however, denied the family claim and linked the incident to some domestic dispute of her parents with some relatives.

The body was sent for autopsy and further investigation is under way.
