KARACHI: Transport proposals

KARACHI, Jan 3: Various proposals regarding the routes for new CNG buses, and other transport facilities came under review at a meeting of the Urban Transport Scheme, held at the Transport and Communication department of the City Government, on Friday.

Chairman, Transport Committee, Hafiz Ahmed Ali, presided over the meeting.

The EDO, transport, Dr Tahir Soomro, said that four CNG buses of the Green Transport Company had started plying on University Road on trial basis while 24 more buses had arrived from China under the scheme.

Hafiz Ahmed Ali said that induction of new buses must show a change in the city’s transport culture. —APP
