LAHORE, Oct 24: A 25-year-old man was gunned down in Nishtar Colony on Wednesday.

Police said Farman had abducted the sister of Yousaf some three years ago. An abduction case was registered against the accused.

The two parties witnessed a reconciliation in the past, but Yousaf nursed a grudge against Farman and kept pursuing the case. On Wednesday, he killed Farman in Dulu Khurd village and fled the scene.

KILLED: A 20-year-old boy was killed and a customer injured in firing by a security guard at a garments shop in Iqbal Town on Wednesday.

Quoting witnesses, the police said Baqir Husain was checking his weapon when it accidentally went off, leaving shop employee Asad Muzaffar and a customer injured. Asad was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The police have started investigation.

ROBBERIES: Robbers looted 10 cattle worth Rs1.5 million from the outhouse of a land-cultivator in Kot Lakhpat area on Wednesday. Four armed men entered the outhouse of Aslam in Tehat village by overpowering watchman and took away two buffaloes, three cows, an ox and four calves.

Two robbers entered the shop of Abdul Nafeh in C-Block of Defence and looted Rs60,000 cash.

Two gun-toting men entered the shop of Nadeem in Kahna police limits, looted Rs125,000 cash from the shopkeeper and customers and escaped on a snatched bike. Two robbers deprived Latif and his family of cash and valuables worth Rs500,000 in Sector-A Township, while as many robbers stopped Pervaiz near Jahman Bridge in Burki police limits and robbed him of Rs150,000 and his motorcycle.
