Badminton tournament

PESHAWAR, Oct 22: Government Girls Middle School, Lahori Gate, won the final of the badminton double tournament by beating Government Girls Middle School Shaheen, Muslim Town, Gulbahar No 4.

The tournament between public sector girls middle schools of the district Peshawar was arranged by the elementary and secondary education (female) as part of sports competition 2012. Farzana Yousaf, district sport secretary, was also present on the occasion.

The final was played between Zainab and Faryal of Girls Middle School, Lahori Gate, and Kolsom and Noreen Mqsood of Government Girls Middle School Shaheen, Muslim Town.

The final score was 15-6, 15-10 and 15-11. Similarly, Afrisham and Atia of GGMS Gul Bacha Jee beat GGMS Sarbilandpora 15-5 and 15-13 and got third position in the competition.
