ISLAMABAD, Jan 2: The Muttahidda Majlis-i-Amal has demanded a change in the Senate election schedule, saying it clashed with the dates of Haj.

The MMA leadership is critical of the schedule and it says that the process could have easily been completed in the third week of January instead of extending it to February.

MMA deputy secretary-general told Dawn on Thursday that the Alliance was in touch with acting president of PML-Q Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on the issue. He hoped that the schedule would be changed to accommodate MMA’s point of view.
