HYDERABAD, Jan 2: The University of Sindh on Thursday announced third merit list of selected candidates for admissions to bachelors degree programme.

The list has been displayed at the notice boards of the Sindh University Model School, old campus, Hyderabad, and Jamshoro, and it can also be seen at the university website.

Last date for the submission of admission fee has been fixed as Jan 10, after which no admission fee will be accepted.

The selected candidates should deposit admission fee in Habib Bank, Jamshoro branch, through bank challan.

RESULTS: The controller of examinations, semester, University of Sindh, has announced the results of MSc, previous, and MSc, final, Biochemistry and MSc (final) Biotechnology, special semester examinations, 2001.

The controller has also announced the results of BA honours- I, II, III and MA, final, Economics, special semester examinations, 2001.

PHD: The vice chancellor, University of Sindh, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, has urged the scholars to select those areas for research, which are development-oriented and can be more beneficial to the masses.

He was presiding over a final PhD seminar in Chemistry, held at the university senate hall, on Thursday.

The vice chancellor said that the scholars should also identify problems of the people and suggest ways and means to resolve them in concluding chapter of their thesis.

The research scholar, Professor Ghulam Abbas Shar, in his presentation for the final PhD seminar on Spectroscopic determination of bio-significant metals in micellar media, said that trace metals played a vital role in growth and maintenance of human body.
