LAHORE, Oct 11: DIG (Investigation) Chauhdry Shafique Ahmad has dismissed four inspectors from service and demoted as many others on charges of corruption, poor investigation and misconduct.

According to a handout issued on Thursday, the DIG dismissed Mughalpura investigation in-charge inspector Tayyab Ashraf, Muslim Town-II Sohail Bashir (also demoted to the rank of SI), Shafeeqabad II Khalid Yaqoob (also demoted to the rank of ASI) and ASI Muhammad Ramzan of Green Town police.

Similarly, the DIG demoted Green Town II to the rank of SI and reduced three stages in his salary; demoted inspector Jaseem Ahmad to the rank of SI; Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf to the rank of SI; and SI Muhammad Amjad to the rank of ASI.
