RAWALPINDI, Oct 9: The body of a taxi driver was found dumped along the motorway (Chakri Road) here on Tuesday.

Police said Kamal Mohammad, 35, had driven some passengers from Peshawar to Islamabad on Monday night.

Before leaving the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at around 9.30pm, Kamal had told his nephew that he would return early Tuesday. The police said after shooting the victim dead, the gunmen also took away his taxi as well as the cash.

Some passersby spotted the body lying near Thalian village and informed the local police who shifted it to the District Headquarters Hospital for a postmortem. — Staff Reporter
