QUETTA, Oct 4: Two people belonging to Karachi were killed when armed men on a motorcycle opened fire at a shop here on Thursday, according to police.

The incident occurred on Sariab Road near Bukhari petrol pump.

The victims were identified as Imran Bhatti and Sheeraz Baig.

Police took the bodies to hospital and later handed them over to the relatives after completing formalities.

A case was registered against unidentified assailants.

In a separate incident, three men were injured when their vehicle came under fire in Kuchlak Bazaar on the outskirts of the city. One of them, Sikandar Ali, died while being taken to hospital where the two others — Mushtaq Hussain and Saqib — were admitted.

The dead and the injured were employees of the treasury office in Pishin.

The Capital City Police Officer has constituted two teams to investigate the attack, a statement issued by the police said, adding that raids had been conducted in different areas to arrest the assailants.

In yet another incident, a doctor was shot at and injured in the Killi Umar Gohar area of Mastung district, adds APP.

Sources in the Levies Force said unidentified attackers fired at Dr Mohammad Ali, hailing from Sibi district. He was taken to hospital.

The Mastung Levies have registered a case.
