LAHORE, Oct 2: A 50-year-old man was hit and killed by a car near Bhaggatpura in Shadbagh on Tuesday.
The police said the man was spotted fatally injured on road. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died after some time.
The police shifted the body to Mayo Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
arrested: Faisal Town police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested two car-lifters and seized three cars and a motorcycle worth Rs3 million from their possession.
Faisal Town ASP Zeeshan Shafique said a police team jointly led by the Faisal Town station house officer as well as the investigation in-charge raided a locality and took into custody Mumtaz alias Ahmad Hasan of Chunian and Muhammad Siddique of Burewala.
He said the suspects had confessed to lifting several cars from different parts of the city. At least four cases had also been traced, he added.

FIRE: A fire broke out in a photo shop at Nisbat Road Chowk in Gawalmandi on Tuesday, burning down machinery and other valuables.
Rescue firefighters extinguished the fire.
