LAHORE, Sept 29: Two people, including a woman, were murdered in separate incidents in the city on Saturday.

Chuhng police said Safdar Ali, 40, was gunned down allegedly by his rival, Kashif Shah, and accomplices on Multan Road.

Shah had also murdered Safdar’s brother a few years ago and the victim was pursuing the case against the accused. The victim, who was targeted outside his house, succumbed to his wounds in hospital.

Sherakot police said 45-year-old Surraya was killed by her son, Waqas, for honour in Tallat Park.

The police took the suspect into custody after he confessed that he had killed his mother. The police shifted the bodies for autopsies and registered cases.

ACCIDENT: A 35-year-old man was run over and killed by a bus of the Technical College, Raiwind, in Nawankot area on Saturday.

Ejaz Ali, a father of two, succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The bus driver fled the scene after leaving the vehicle.
