Woman commits suicide

RAWALPINDI, Sept 27: A woman killed herself by hanging with ceiling fan while another man was shot dead at his motor workshop at Akbar Market on Thursday night, police said.

Kiran Serwar, 20, had been had been living a happy life with her husband Shahzad Ahmed.

The police said neither any suicide note nor anybody else from her family gave any reason behind the suicide.

However, according to doctor at the District Headquarters Hospital, the woman’s father had been claiming that his daughter was murdered by her in-laws.

The body of the deceased was removed to the hospital for postmortem.

In another incident, Noor Khan, a young motor mechanic in his mid-twenties, was standing outside his work place when a man came and opened fire on him killing him on the spot.

Police said apparently old enmity seems to be the motive behind the murder.—Staff Reporter
