KARACHI, Sept 24: The Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has saved Rs50 million in foreign exchange by giving haulage contract of 71,500 tons furnace oil to Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC).

The tanker MT Lahore is presently unloading 71,500 tons of furnace oil at Port Qasim.

This haulage contract is on a trial basis between the two state-owned enterprises.

However, a spokesman for the PNSC said that there was a greater possibility that both the organisations would enter into a long-term arrangement for haulage of POL products.

The PNSC tanker has carried furnace oil from Dubai port on FOB basis and is presently unloading at a private terminal of the Port Qasim.
