KARACHI: Pakistan Army continued their rich vein of form while Pakistan Navy recorded a much-needed victory in the Pakistan Premier Football League on Saturday.

After recording their first victory of the season on Thursday, Army beat Pakistan Air Force (PAF) at Islamabad’s Jinnah Football Stadium after Shahid Zamir scored in the 35th minute to take Army to seven points from five games.

At the KPT Stadium here, an Asif Bukhsh brace propelled Navy to 12 points after they hammered Baloch FC 4-0. Asif opened the scoring in the fourth minute before goals by Sajjad and Abdul Haq later in the first-half put them 3-0 heading into the break.

Asif then scored in the 71st to complete his double and cap off his side’s third victory in nine games so far.

Elsewhere, a 51st minute strike by Zabiullah helped Muslim FC down Habib Bank Limited 1-0 here at the People’s Sports Complex.
