MITHI, Dec 28: The Tharparkar District Council has demanded the government should sanction tube-wells for Mohtario, Milkan, Jorou and Asrario villages.

In all, the council, in its session on Thursday and Friday, passed 66 resolutions, demanding more development schemes for the district.

The council demanded sanctioning of water supply schemes, construction of wells and water reservoirs, setting up of dispensaries and veterinary centres, opening of more primary schools and repair of damaged school buildings.

The council also demanded of the government to shift PCOs to government buildings from private buildings and sanction a building for the Mithi Post Office.
