QUETTA, Sept 18: The Balochistan Assembly on Tuesday admitted an adjournment motion for a debate on an anti-Islam film made in the US and demanded a worldwide ban on it.

Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhel of the PML-Q tabled the motion soon after the session started with Deputy Speaker Syed Matiullah Agha in the chair.

Mr Mandokhel strongly condemned the making of the film and said no Muslim would tolerate anything against Islam. He asked the government to employ all resources to stop the release of the movie.

Admitting the motion, the chair fixed Sept 21 for a two-hour debate on the issue.

Speaking on the point of order, provincial ministers Sardar Aslam Bizenjo, Zamarak Achakzai, Jan Ali Changezi, Zahoor Buledi and Asad Baloch criticised the film. They said Muslims had never done anything which injured the feelings and sentiments of the followers of other religions.
