SIALKOT, Sept 17: Ruling Ittehad Founders’ Group on Monday clinched all the five seats of executive committee of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) amid boycott by the opposition.

According to official results announced by SCCI Election Commission, Usman Arif Sheikh, Mian Muhammad Anwar, Mian Pervaiz Akhtar, Zeeshan Elahi and Khawaja Muhammad Ishtiaq were elected as corporate class members of the SCCI executive committee.

SCCI Election Commissioner Sheikh Naveed Iqbal said that polling was held in free, fair, impartial and transparent atmosphere. But Suhail Khawar Mir of Democratic Founders Group said that his group boycotted the polls as bogus votes were made by the ruling group.
