4 constables arrested

ATTOCK, Sept 9: Four constables were arrested in connection with recovery of an explosive device from district police headquarters on Aug 26.

Police sources said constables Mohammad Qasim, Nasir, Zubair and Tariq were temporarily detained soon after the detection of the explosive. During investigation, the police found the constables negligent and said without their help, the device could not have been planted.

On the directive of DPO Mohammad Hilal Khan, the city police registered a case against the officials and arrested them. — Correspondent
