KHAIRPUR, Sept 5: Three people were killed apparently in the name of honour in the katcha area near the Indus River in Sobhodero taluka late on Tuesday.

According to sources, a clash took place between two groups of the Rind tribe in which two men and a woman were killed.

The victims were identified as 30-year-old Ghulam Hyder, Shakar Khan and a 23-year-old Sharma.

The police said that Mr Hyder and Ms Sharma were killed on the pretext of Karo-Kari. Mr Khan was said to be Mr Hyder’s uncle.

After the triple murder, one of the groups left their huts and shifted to some undisclosed location.

The police of Mangi Mari area told journalists on Wednesday that nomads had been living in the area for the past several months to graze their cattle.

The police and locals shifted the bodies to the taluka hospital in Sobhodero.

After post-mortem examinations the bodies were kept at the hospital.

The police said that the victims belonged to Jacobabad or Shikarpur and their bodies would be handed over to their relatives.

However, no one turned up to collect the bodies till the filing of this report.
