TIMERGARA, Sept 4: Three policemen and two army personnel were injured when their vehicle skidded off the road at Lalo Soripao area of Maidan on Tuesday, residents and police told Dawn.

They said a van carrying policemen and army personnel was coming from Kalpani Maidan, but it skidded off the road at Lalo Soripao.

The injured policemen were identified as Jalat Khan, Nazirullah and Syed Rahman, who were taken to the Lal Qila hospital where their condition was stated to be normal. The names of the injured army personnel could not be known despite several attempts. However, an official of the Maidan police said they had been taken to Peshawar for treatment.

MEETING: The first meeting of the board of studies of the department of education, University of Malakand, was held on Tuesday with Itbar Khan, head of the department, in the chair, according to a press release.

The courses for Bachelor of Education, Master of Education, Master of Philosophy in Education, eligibility criteria for admission and list of paper setters were discussed. The board members gave their valuable suggestions for the improvement of the courses.

They appreciated the efforts of the department of education for producing quality curriculum.
